Emerging countries’ leading mobile operators charge an average 51% premium on data offers
The below benchmark shows that leading telecom operators in African countries were charging some of the highest premiums on data bundles when compared to their market competition. Whereas operators in Middle East and Asia were charging on par and some even below par as their competitors.
Notes: average premium that a market leader charges in Q2 2013 for 1 GB handset package with 30 days validity
